Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Yansoon LLC (“Yansoon”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the yansoon.me website and the Yansoon mobile apps (together, the “Service”).

Yansoon helps you find doctors and book appointments with clinics in the United Arab Emirates. Clinics and doctors on Yansoon are independent healthcare providers: they are responsible for the care they deliver and for how they handle your records outside the Service.

Information we collect

We collect the following information when you use the Service:

  • Account details — your name, email address, phone number, password (stored in encrypted form), profile photo, preferred language and, if you choose to add them, your date of birth and gender.
  • Sign-in details — if you sign in with Google, Apple, or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider.
  • Booking details — the appointments you book, the clinic and doctor, any notes you add, your selected insurance plan, and your booking history. If a clinic books an appointment for you at reception, it may enter your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Health information — information that you or your care provider add to the Service, such as your messages with clinics, files and photos you share, medical record entries, and video consultation details. Video and voice consultations are not recorded.
  • Testimonials — if you agree to share a testimonial, we store its text or media together with a record of your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
  • Provider information — if you represent a clinic or doctor, we collect professional licence and identity documents to verify your listing.
  • Technical information — standard server logs and the essential cookies described below. The Service does not use advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use information

  • To provide the Service — managing your account, processing bookings, sending appointment confirmations and reminders, and enabling messaging and video consultations with your care providers.
  • To keep the Service safe — verifying providers, preventing misuse, and diagnosing technical problems.
  • To comply with legal obligations that apply to us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use health information for advertising or marketing.

How we share information

  • With your care providers — when you book, message, or call a clinic or doctor, they receive the information needed to serve you, such as your name, contact details, appointment details, and the messages and files you send them.
  • With service providers that help us run the Service — hosting and data storage (DigitalOcean), email delivery (Resend), video calling (Agora), and WhatsApp messaging (Meta). These providers process information on our behalf and only to provide their service to us.
  • When required by law — to comply with a law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
  • In a business transfer — if Yansoon is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

WhatsApp and other third-party services

  • We may communicate with you over WhatsApp — for example when you message us there, or if you choose to receive booking updates on WhatsApp where available. Messages sent over WhatsApp are processed by Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform under Meta’s own terms and privacy policy.
  • Signing in with Google, Apple, or Microsoft is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
  • Some testimonial videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode; YouTube may receive standard technical information when a video loads.

Mobile app permissions

The Yansoon mobile apps may request the following device permissions:

  • Camera and microphone — to join video consultations.
  • Photos and files — to attach images or documents to your messages.
  • Notifications — to alert you about appointments and messages.

Each permission is requested when a feature needs it, and you can change permissions at any time in your device settings.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: one that keeps you signed in, one that protects forms against misuse, and one that remembers your language. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Appointment and health records may be kept for longer periods where healthcare or other laws require it. After that, we delete or de-identify the information.

Your choices and rights

  • Access and update — you can view and edit your details in your profile, and download a copy of your health record from your profile page.
  • Testimonial consent — you can withdraw your consent to a published testimonial at any time, and it will no longer be shown.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law, such as the UAE Personal Data Protection Law. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@yansoon.me.

Delete your account

You can delete your account yourself at any time: sign in and go to Profile, then "Delete account". This immediately removes your name, email, phone and sign-in details, and signs you out everywhere. You can also email privacy@yansoon.me from the address on your account. Either way, records we must keep to meet legal obligations — including appointment and medical records held by clinics you visited — are retained for as long as healthcare law requires, but are no longer linked to your name.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, private file storage with access logging, and role-based access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to children, and accounts may only be created by adults. A parent or guardian may book appointments and share information for a child in their care. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Yansoon is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Wherever it is processed, we protect it as described in this Policy.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with its “last updated” date shown at the top.
